I have been using WHMCS for almost 5 years now. And in those 5 years the one feature that WHMCS has not made any significant upgrades to is the affiliate system. The features just don't cut it in todays market forcing many of us to look at alternative affiliate systems.
WHMCS affiliate system is badly in need of the ability to add multi-level payout tiers. This is needed to be able to assign higher commission payouts for affiliates that perform above the basic sales level. Every major web hosting company offers different payout levels. We have been forced to use a different program at this time simply because of the lack of features. Lets face it, a start up web hosting company can get by with the affiliate system as is but once you grown beyond that point the integrated affiliate system is simply inadequate.
If WHMCS does not wish to include an advance affiliate system with WHMCS as is, then I would like to see WHMCS develop an add on mod for an advanced affiliate system. I would be willing to pay up to $200 for such an add on. That's the average price going out there and seems to be fair.
