Hi,
First and foremost, thank you Matt and team. You guys provide an excellent solution.
Second, can somebody please tell me why email verification is still not included? This should be an option that can be turned on/off when a user places their initial order and when they update an email address.
It seems just a tad silly to me, no? It's a great security feature, even if not say-all tell-all.
That being said, can somebody enlighten me how they have achieved a secure integration with Kayako? You can't simply query the Kayako database to obtain tickets for a specific client email address because a user could easily update their email address and instantly gain access to tickets previously logged by that address. And when they don't need to verify their email address that leads to security concerns.
Email verification solves that. Change email, verify email, then receive access to those tickets. It would be nice to have WHMCS provide this functionality rather than needing to code an verification system and integrate into the WHMCS flow.
My next line of thought is to correlate client ID's with Kayako organizations, so you would only have access to tickets submit by that email address when the email address was associated with that user ID account. But then I think about email addresses that represent multiple clients?
Then I think more... and my head starts to hurt!
Has anyone achieved similar functionality, securely?
Cheers in advance!
