Just thought I would as before entering a support ticket. We noticed the last time WHMCS automatically charged a credit card was 1/27/2014 which was about the time of one of the last updates, but not 100% sure.
No errors in the activity log and the payment gateway works because I can 'attempt capture' and it charges the card. It just looks like its not even trying to do it and not sure why. Nothing changed on our server and the cron job does run daily and issue invoices, just does not charge the cards when the invoice is due or overdue.
