As a web designer/developer who sells hosting I have a lot of clients who are marked as inactive because they do not have any products or services. They have a one off invoice for each website I build. So some of my best income comes from customers who use me a a freelancer yet they show as inactive. This is annoying when using lists, searches etc. and they do not appear.
Reather than basing their status on products/services couldn't this be based on invoice history? Perhaps a client that has purchased a product and/or service or has paid an invoice in past 6 months could be active while rest are inactive.
WHMCS has moved on a lot and project management means that more developers and designers are likely to use WHMCS and so this would be a very useful feature.
