Addon Install Confusion

I update my version of whmcs to the latest version and it looks like it had the project module installed already.

But when i paid of the addon it ask me to download and install the module, when doing so i notice files are newer on the whmcs updated one. I am not sure what is the newer seem like there is no need to download the addon if you updated to latest version.

Please confirm.
