Automatic Cancellation of domain registration invoice after grace period

Once domain registrations expire, there is a set amount of time before the domain goes into redemption. We would like domain registration invoices to be automatically marked as cancelled after the defined grace period (defined by each registrar).

For example, domains registered through Enom have a 30 day grace period. We would like the registration invoices to cancel after the 30 day period. I saw this mentioned in passing in a forum post, but it was done by an end-user cron.
