Domain Reseller Automation Feedback

$

Hello:

currently we are using Fasthosts for registering our domains but unfortunately its a very manual process. We wish to automate the process using our WHMCS installation but unsure which registrar to use so would welcome community feedback please. eNom appear to have fairly attractive pricing for .coms etc but UK specific domains seem quite pricey to what we are already paying.

Reset & Send Password sending wrong email ?

$

Hi

thought I would try here as I have not had a response from support (ticket #HKR-084978 - 14th Sep)
and need the issues resolving.

upgraded to 6.02 but have just realised that the Reset & Send Password is not working correctly from admin and clients trying to reset passwords, when clicking reset/password
it sends out totally the wrong email and not the password information,
the email it is sending out is an old email template that I have now deleted, not sure how to resolve the issue my self

also not sure if its related but since the upgrade the heartinternet module when creating the hosting package, it no longer sends out the welcome email with the hosting account details.
it used to work ok, created the hosting at heartinternet and sent out hosting account details to the client.

Thank you

Product Dependancy

Hey folks, been trying to work this out for awhile with no luck....

I want to offer a fixed price package/bundle, that consists of one service product and one hosting product.

The service product is a fixed price, one-time item at $500.00
I want to offer a Free 3 month hosting Product if this product is purchased

After the Free 3 months, I want the user to have to purchase an annual subscription for the same hosting product

So, I have setup the Service Product in a Group with a cost of $500, the Hosting Product in another group as 90 day termination at a one-time cost of $0.00, and a "Bundle Product" to include both of these.

I only show the bundle product on the order form.

I then setup the same hosting package in another group, but this time with an annual cost of $50.00, and set this as an upgrade product to the Free hosting package.

Is this the best way to do this? So when the 90day/3month free hosting expires, the user has to select the upgrade hosting package or the account is terminated?

Thanks a lot for your assistance...

Is it possible to add product / article numbers to products?

Hi guys,

We recently purchased a monthly (unbranded) WHMCS license to see if it's a good replacement for our hosting company, before upgrading to a fully owned license. So far we are really liking it. We want to get rid of our current Joomla system we are using (for website and ordering).

FYI: we aren't going to use the invoice system from WHMCS (I already managed to disable / hide it from the client panel by using hooks). Reason for this, is that we have been using the same billing system for over 10 years now and we prefer to keep using that.

Now I am wondering; is there a way (or module) to add product/article numbers (like SKU's and EAN for goods) to domainnames, webhosting packages, options and servers? We also need to be able to enter different product/article numbers for pricing terms like quarterly and annually.

Since an example says more than a thousand words, I will give an example.
For example:

Server A being billed annually has item code 000012
Server A being billed quarterly has item code 000016
Options, configurations, etc. also should have their own item codes...

I hope this makes sense to someone.
So, does anybody knows if this is even possible, or if there is a module already out there (free or commercial)...?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Regards

How can I sell/promote domain ID protection to my existing clients?

We have enabled ID protection as a domain add on and want to promote our existing clients, who already have domains registered with us via ENOM.

I'd like to email these clients and have them login to their WHMCS account and order the service.... is this possible?

Or is it something on renewal we can offer or ???

We auto generate invoices on domain renewals but how do we upsell ID Protection?

Thanks for any ideas/suggestions.

Admin area access error

$

Hello everyone,

We've installed a fresh WHMCS installation.
I've changed the general settings about the domain - Setup->General Setting>Domain->General

I've entered our billing web domain address : http://billing.ourdomain.com

And the the WHMCS access :
HTTP : http://billing.ourdomain.com/whmcs
SSL https://billing.ourdomain.com/whmcs

Then I cannot access to the admin area anymore. I can go to http://billing.ourdomain.com/whmcs, I see the portal, but cannot go to admin portal at http://billing.ourdomain.com/whmcs/admin or click on the "Return to Admin area".

How can I fix this ? Is there a config file ?

Thanks for your help,

Regards

Customers can't see their password with new v6.02

A small problem, in the past a customer could see their password in their accounts, it is vanished now.

This is a problem for those accounts we had to change the cPanel password after an issue in their account.
The same for those who rent a server, it was a way better way then sending an email with the login details.

I just can't find any option to get this back, am I overlooking something?

Callback URL Test Error

Hopefully somebody can see what is wrong. I'm getting this error with the test option after installing a Coinbase module. As far as I can tell it's installed in correct folders and the coinbase.php is in the correct place as well and folder permissions seem fine.

Quote:

Anybody have any ideas of what is causing it?

Test Custom payment module for recurring payments

$

Hi,

I created custom payment module and I want to test for it recurring payments. When you add recurring payments it starts from monthly. So we have to wait for a month to check if recurring payment works. So is there any way to change recurring payment time to less than monthly (like daylily, hourly like that).

I would be very thankful if any one can help on this?

Ability to add article codes to all our products and/or services in WHMCS.

$

0
We are looking for a talented and reliable coder/developer who can make it possible for us to add article codes to all our products and/or services in WHMCS. We will enter all the article codes ourselves, we only need the option to do this ourselves.

Reason for this, is that we are not going to use the billing/invoice system in WHMCS, but rather use our own billing system. Therefor it's easier for us when orders have our article codes. Currently this option is not in WHMCS (probably most of you don't need this, because they use the included billing/invoicing system of WHMCS).

So we are looking for adding (through module, hook, etc) an extra field to all our products/services where we can enter our article codes for each product/service. This includes TLDs, hosting packages, options, servers, etc. The correct article codes should be visible in the order confirmation we receive.

To give you a better idea of this all I will give you a few examples. See below.

Example 1 (basic hosting package example)
Customer orders a basic hosting package including a new .com domain registration. That would mean (just an example) the following 2 article codes are added:
- basic hosting package (art.code 000035)
- .com domain registration (art.code 000003)

Example 2 (expert hosting package example)
Customer orders an expert hosting package, including spamfiltering, ssl certificate. Customer also has a .net domain which he will use, however since he owns it, he will make the nameserver changes himself. The following product codes should be added:
- expert hosting package (art.code 000039)
- spamfilter (art.code 000055)
- ssl certificate (art.code 000062)
Obviously no article code for the domainname, as the domainname is not being registered or transfered. The customer will make the necesssary nameserver changes.

Example 3 (server order example, payment annually)
Customer orders Server A, with Plesk 100 domain license, Installatron installed and .eu domainname registration (for the nameservers). This will result in the following article codes:
- Server A (art.code 000106)
- Plesk 100 domain license (art.code 000202)
- Installtron (art.code 000225)
- .eu domainname (art.code 000006)

If you have questions, other ideas or a better solution to this, then please let me know. If things work out we might have 1 or 2 extra jobs for you. Reliability, support and documentation is the key here, ofcourse at an affordable price. Also, if all goes well, we will also give you future projects.

Thank you for reading.

Display order date in clientarea (under Services).

Quick question about the My Products & Services page in the ClientArea section (under Services).

It currently shows the "Next Due Date" which is displayed in the .tpl as:

PHP Code:

<span class="hidden">{$service.normalisedNextDueDate}</span>{$service.nextduedate

Is there a way to change that with the order date? I want to display the date of ordering, not the next due date.

What variable should I use for it? Or isn't it possible at al?

For domains it's being displayed standard with this:

PHP Code:

<span class="hidden">{$domain.normalisedRegistrationDate}</span>{$domain.registrationdate}</div

Please advice. TY.

Default Creation Password Requirements

Hello all,

I am pretty sure we have dealt with this before, however I cannot find any local documentation...so...here goes:

How can we change the auto-generated password requirements when an order is ready to run? So, we have an order and it auto-generates a random password for a cPanel account, however that password does not meet our cPanel password requirements so we have to manually change it. I am guessing this is within the module or some syntax within WHMCS...however, I cannot find where!

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Just to note, this is using v5.3.14
