Security update question/suggestion?

Why send out security patches that require users to upgrade and buy support -- and not be told that until after they have applied the patch??

The upgrade should state that this requires/needs a CURRENT maintenance license before I apply it -- not after!!! When a user receives an email from you idiots marked urgent security update, we apply it -- and then we are told we have to pay for it -- not before, but after??? And then your response to how to roll it back is this?

You are receiving this error because you are attempting to use a version of WHMCS that was released after the Support & Updates addon has expired for your license. To resolve this, you will need to renew the Support & Updates addon. To renew the support and updates for your owned license, simply login to our client area @ www.whmcs.com/members and then navigate to Services > View Available Addons and you'll find the option listed there.
