Invoice question

Hi

Is there a way not to generate invoice on order and that is not sent to client.
Only when order is marked as paid that invoice is generated and sent to client?

I ask because when invoice is created I have to pay tax for it even if it is not paid so if you have any idea how to solve this?

Can't login to client control panel from WHMCS

I recently upgraded from 5.1.3 to 5.3. I have setup my server using the username and hash, I added one client from my whm manually.

When I try to login to the client's cpanel from within WHMCS I am getting a to this url:
/https://frontier.websitewelcome.com:2087/xfercpanel/myclientname

with a session cookie expired message

When I put in the correct password and username I get a :

login is invalid message

and I'm unable to access the client's cpanel.

If I go straight to the clients cpanel access like: myclientname/cpanel the username and password works so I know they are correct.

I have changed the password from within the WHMCS and it work if I go direct to the cpanel url but not from within the WHMCS.

Please Help!

Supply Chain Management addon

We are getting ready to migrate over to WHMCS and I am looking to see if anyone has or is working on an addon for the admin/client portions of WHMCS that will track and schedule shipments.


If there isn't, is anyone willing to work on one?

Needs:
-Clients and admins should have a field to enter tracking numbers from any carrier, including international freight/post/etc.
-The addon should be able to auto detect the carrier, but also have a combo box with the carriers listed in the event it gets a tracking number confused.
- The addon should interface with the global calendar and add an event that corresponds with the estimated delivery date. If the estimated date changes, so should the event. (in the situation of an exception)
- The addon should also flag shipments (bold red text - flashing would be cool too) that have gone into an exception and alert the client and the admins.
- The addon would need to be built to use the APIs of the carriers.
- These guys are pretty good and can be a good model for reference. They do not have a scheduling agent though.

Ordering and invoicing

If understood correctly. I see even if we order multiple products, we will have only one order record with one invoice. In order table we have invoice_id coloumn, but in invoice table there is no reference to order, so this is one way from order to invoice. On time of ordering, there will be separate record in hosting table for each item with recurring cycle and end_date e.g. 'Monthly' , '01-05-2014'. this table has reference to order table. when cron runs, I think it is reading cycle and due date from hosting table and create a new invoice. Only a new invoice will be created, nothing else will be re-created. this invoice has only reference to client, there is no reference to order table nor to hosting table nor vice versa. Did I understand correctly?

If yes, then question is that if invoice will be overdue, then how the system understand which hosting package should be suspended as there is no reference from invoice to order nor to hosting?

Piped Spam

I am getting a lot of Spam just of late and am trying to stop at least some of it.
I have a Sales Ticket support option, with a Sales email address.
But the email address is getting spammed badly including email attachments, so some nasty stuff coming through.
How do I Stop the support ticket thing importing the emails, but clients can still use the sales option, from the website?

As per the picture below. Will the option Highlighted and ticked do the job correctly and or can someone explain that option. The explanation contradicts the Item description.

Unexpected payment method value. Exiting.

I'm getting this error on a 15 day free trial setup.
The subscription page looks fine and you can enter your account details or pick an existing client. However as soon as you click "Complete Order" the screen goes blank and all you see is " Unexpected payment method value. Exiting."
The order is created on the back end and I receive notification of that, but the customer thinks it didn't work and tries again.
WHMCS version 5.2.17 using the AhSay backup module.

How can I get WHMCS to run a terminal command after someone has signed up for my service? I need to parse username/password, "createseedbox username password", I have looked at hooks and looking for someone to educate me on how to do this.

How to create a format check on client profiles during sign up

Hi,

Even though I read throuhg many (old) threads about this, I can't see this 'basic' issue resolved.
I just had a client order a .nl domain transfer with a hosting package.

The customer accidentally entered 11 digits in the phone number field in stead of the required 10 digits. Still, he was able to finish his order, pay for it and wait for the acknowledgment.

To my surprise the order/transfer did not go through but was set to pending. When I checked I noticed the error of the wrong phone format, which was obviously not accepted by the NL-domain-API. I corrected it and manually pushed it through.

That brought me to this question; it should have been a basic option for us as administrators to be able to determine the accepted phone formats. I'm sure this could vary from country to country. How do I change this? Obviously custom fields don't work, they won't work with the registrar's API, unless we could use them to 'replace' standard fields and switch those off.

I'm more worried about the fact that the client is able to finish and pay for his order, with incorrect information. The whole idea for WHMCS was to automise the entire process, now I feel I have to keep a constant eye on it.

Currently I am applying tax on all services as handling fee. I want to remove that fee on new orders without affecting existing client base. I do not want to use promotion code for this.

Editing 'Default' WHMCS Template

I recently installed WHMCS and selected 'Default' as the template that I'd like to use in the General tab of the administrative area of WHMCS.

Since doing this I've been editing the CSS files named whmcs.css and bootstrap.css to change some of the colours, however, I'm not sure which file I'd need to edit to change the positioning and width of the menu that is included with the default template.

I'd be very grateful if anybody could give some pointers as I'm a little stuck.

AES_ENCRYPT to Database backup?

I had an attempted AES_ENCRYPT hack,
First Name: 'n403' to 'AES_ENCRYPT(1,1), firstname=(SELECT GROUP_CONCAT(id,0x3a,username,0x3a,email,0x3a,pass word SEPARATOR 0x2c20) FROM tbladmins)'
Default Payment Method: '' to ''

I'm running the latest version, and all I read about this seems to indicate the problem had been patched awhile back.

However, in the logs i noted this

Created Client n403 fghjkhgfd - User ID: 18
- 02/05/2014 17:11 - System - 2.90.243.165
Cron Job: Starting Database Backup
- 02/05/2014 01:56 - System -
Cron Job: Completed

2.90.243.165 is his IP address,
if I am reading this correctly, he was able to trigger a database backup?
Was he able to obtain a copy?!?!

auto currency does not want to work

Hi,

I have 2 currencies setup in WHMCS.

The default is ZAR for South africa and the other is USD (Secondary)

Now when I go to domainchecker.php?currency=2 it does nothing and leaves it on default currency ZAR.

Also when I added the geoip location and test via web proxy in US it does not change aswell to US.

Any ideaS?

Domain Registrar Page Problems

I have just accessed the domain registrar page in WHMCS on this path: Setup > products/services > Domain Registrars. For eNom I have clicked the activate button. After doing this the deactivate button and configuration buttons are non-functioning in that when I click on them nothing happens. I am using Mac OS X (10.9.2) and the latest versions of Chrome and Safari web browser.

Out of interest, I activated another registrar, and after doing so the deactivation and configuration button for that registrar became non-functioning.

In an official WHMCS video located here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Sz9mkBzLN0&hd=1 (go to the 25th second of the video), it shows the video tutorial maker inputting their eNom reseller username and password after having clicked the activation button on the WHMCS Domain Registrar page. This box asking for a username and password did not pop-up for me.

Why can't I configure or deactivate eNom?
