WHMCS EU invoice templates - help!

Hi guys,

I've bought WHMCS and now I need help with an invoice template. I live in the Netherlands and Europe has some strict rules regarding creating invoices. I want to customize the invoice, but I'm afraid I can't. The invoicepdf.tpl file uses such a difficult language I can't understand. Does someone know a website where I can buy templates?

Using "Email" field for "First Name" on registration.

I am in the process of trimming down the required information for clients to register and would like to move to only being known by email.

I have managed to set almost everything as needed, however I find when the "First Name" is blank, it causes issues linking back to clients through tickets as the text simply does not exist.

To combat this I set a hidden field:
<input type="hidden" name="firstname" id="firstname" value="Client"/>

However this names everyone client, which is not ideal.

I have tried using the email variable such as this, however it did not work:
<input type="hidden" name="firstname" id="firstname" value="{$clientemail}"/>


Does anyone know an easy way to push the "{$clientemail}" variable as the first name upon registration. Maybe I am simply missing something that I am overlooking.

Divide quote into 3 invoices instead of two

Hello, when I do a large web project for a client, I generally take a 1/3 down payment, 1/3 at the end of the design phase, and the remainder upon completion. Is there a way to break up the invoice this way from the quote? Or, can a client make a partial payment via paypal to an existing invoice?

Integrating a q/a script

Hello There,

I am totally new to WHMCS. I have to accomplish two goals
1. Integrate a third party q/a script with WHMCS.
2. Force user to create a username when he tries to use the script for the first time.

After going through the documentation available for WHMCS, I figured out that for the second question I will have to create a hook which will make the client to create a username. However, as per documentation hooks can belong to any of the mentioned category and will be created on the actions supported for ex: Client->ClientAdd.

Could anyone suggest how should I proceed to address above problems?
Do I need to create a module/addon which will function as a wrapper for the third party script?
Will it be better to create a q/a module for WHMCS instead of using the third party script?

Help Appreciated.

Auto Accept Orders for WHMCS

This WHMCS Hook will auto accept orders. There is no need to manually accept them anymore !
No more "pending" orders... :)

Hook is highly customizable with a settings section that will let you set the following -

- Activate product provisioning (yes/no)
- Perform domain automation (yes/no)
- Send welcome email to client (yes/no)
- Accept only paid orders (yes/no)
- Set specific payment methods (i.e, "paypal")

integrating WHMCS with Interworx - SOAP error

I've just added my Interworx server's info + hash to WHMCS.

When I attempt to Accept an order and select Run Module Create, I get the following message:

Fatal error: SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load from 'https://billing.abc.com:2443/nodeworx/soap?wsdl' : failed to load external entity "https://billing.abc.com:2443/nodeworx/soap?wsdl" in /var/www/html/includes/classes/WHMCS/Terminus.php on line 0

I can access https://billing.abc.com:2443/nodeworx/soap?wsdl from the server running WHMCS so I don't think it's a firewall.

What else could it be?

An error occured with module license. Please contact support.

The title is what one of our clients is getting from clicking on " Install Applications!" button from with-in their Client area, under their web hosting. When they click the button it just gives an error message "An error occured with module license. Please contact support."

What license is it talking about? or what is it referring to ?

BCC on Email Templates Required

Hello all,

We are looking for someone to add a BCC field function to specific (or all if easier) Email Templates. Currently within all Email Templates there is a function to 'Copy To' (CC), we would like to be able to BCC not just CC. In fact CC is not used by us as it has no real benefit so just simply changing/replacing the CC with BCC would be fine.

We have tried the BCC all emails within Settings however this creates other issues that we want to avoid and also understand that we could use PHP Mail() function, however this also has been decided against.

This function to BCC within Email Templates has been added to the Feature Requests a number of times and dating to over a year ago therefore I believe WHMCS are not going to implement this even though a few have requested it. Therefore here we are, asking for a developer to create this function for us.

Anyone who could help please PM me directly to discuss further. We are happy to pay for the creation of such a function/hook. After the function has been created/tested the developer/creator needs to agree to allow us to 'give' it to the community for others to use without charge as this is a community after all ;)

Security questions on password reset.

I would like to disable the need to answer the security question when resetting a password. Unfortunately this is never going to work properly unless the answer is a single, lower case word. In nearly all cases, the customer cannot remember exactly what they typed in and in what case. It's not meant to be a password, but WHMCS have implemented it exactly as if it were!

The secret question option is very good for manual / verbal verification - we can ask the customer over the phone, or on live chat for the answer to their question in order to verify their details - so I'd like to keep this running, but it's completely useless when used with the password reset option.

Asking someone to remember an exact sentence as if it were a password and to type that in exactly how it was originally typed, in the exact case? Completely stupid! Punctuation, capitalisation, extra spaces, different words used, plural or singular - all things that can be very easily forgotten, missed etc. To be brutally honest, this is so badly thought out it's an embarrassment for WHMCS. It should either be restricted to a single word, lower case answer - or disabled completely!

Do you know if it is possible to disable the security question, just for the password reset? is it a case of simply editing the template? If not, I guess it would be easy enough to simply disable the security question option completely and then add a custom field for this instead.

I've looked around but I can't find any instructions for cleaning this out completely - i.e disable the security questions and purge the questions and associated client answers from the database. Does anyone know the database fields names without me having to go digging?

Clear Ticket Flags for WHMCS

This hook simply clears the associated flagged admin when the ticket is closed.

The need for this hook came up when we started flagging tickets for a while, and wanted to search information in other old closed tickets. This is when all the flagged tickets came up first ! (which was disturbing in our point of view)

iphone App Crashing [Solved]

Hello,

I tried to reply to earlier posts about this but the forum wouldn't let me because they are too old, but this is such a frustrating problem that I decided to create a new post.

The problem: iphone App crashes/closes when you try to connect.

My Solution: I created a new user in WHMCS and used that for the App.

I'm not sure what causes that bug but this simple fix got it working for me.

2. Show 2 curencies on invoice ($ base curency and EUR second)

Problem with Auth.Net Automated Billing for subscription clients in WHMCS

Hello,

We use the latest version of WHMCS and we're currently experiencing the following issue for our clients who have subscriptions:
WHMCS cannot automatically charge users who already used their CC via CIM or echeck gateways

The are no exclusions - all attempts to automatically capture CC payments fail with this error: Error E00027, Card Code is required.

This is an example of the full response we get (X's replace personal info):

Echecks fail with this error:
Response Reason Code => 33
Response Reason Text => Bank account number is required.

We have to manually resubmit payment details for clients to renew subscriptions.

We do have profile info stored and everything seems to be OK (usual payments go through fine)

For CC payments, we think this is related to the fact that the system is not allowed to store CVC code.

Can anyone give advice on how this can be resolved?

Help! My WHMCS is sending thousand of emails!

I just wake up, and hundred of clients are telling me that they receiveid 200-300 emails from my site.

When I checked it out, it's true, I just sent over 500 emails to all clients that have pending invoices, my Cronjob is marked to be checked em 12 hours, but it seens to be sending those minute by minute.

I was using SMTP server, I changed it to PHP to see if it would stop, but no luck.

Anyone has any idea what I might do?

View Cart Icon only when items are in cart
