We use WHMCS for all client facing communication and billing, and use Atlassian JIRA for internal project management on projects. We currently have a few custom fields that we manually paste in hyperlinks to cross-link a WHMCS ticket and Project Management record with the JIRA issue.

This saves a lot of time, but ideally we'd like to have search linking capability in JIRA to pull up and link to WHMCS, and vice versa. Wondering if anyone has experience doing this (please don't respond if you have never integrated WHMCS and JIRA before!). Please contact us at info [at] PolishedGeek.com if you are interested.

Integrate Olark Live Chat with WHMCS

I've posted a quick tutorial on my site that explains integrating Olark live chat with WHMCS. Beyond the basic code it populates the chat users name if they're logged in.

If you're not using Olark, it's pretty nifty as it allows you to use existing IM clients to chat with visitors to your website, so you can use desktop and mobile clients.

hi all

i have some problems

now i have a logo called your host that logo is 230 x 29

i want to delete that and want to set a other logo and that logo is bigger then 230 x 29

if i set that logo in my website everything gose down because the logo is to big


is there a fix for this that i can put a bigger img on that spot without changing the complete website

Hi,

I have some digital downloadable paid products, I sell through WHMCS, for a one off charge.

I offer chargeable install services, for each downloadable product and need information, like there username and password etc..., so that I can install it.

I would like to add a tick box for the product, that either:
Dropdown the field/questions so they can fill it in or add them on the next page.

How would I go about doing this, for set products?



Also I was wondering, if they order 2 or more items, I would like to charge an one off install charge for each item, how would I do that?

Is it possible to restrict access to some KB articles to admins only?

In other words I want to create an internal knowledge base for techs, which clients won't have access to, AS WELL AS a KB for clients.

Hi there,

Last week (20th, 21st March), I attempted to upgrade my WHMCS version from 3.2.16 to the latest version (3.3.5).

Although the upgrade completed successfully, I lost a lot of customization on my WHMCS installation which took several months to complete.

I have since decided to reverse the upgrade and restored my installation to 19th March. Before restoring, I took a backup of the upgraded version so now, I have some data (19th - 22nd March) trapped in that version which I need to urgently move back into the restored version. Invoices which were paid while upgraded version was running are now showing up as unpaid.

Is there any way I can extract this information from the upgraded backed up database and merge with my restored version which is currently running?

We sell some licence products which are due in full each calendar month.

How can I setup invoicing so it automatically is generated at the start of each calendar month regardless of when the product is purchased?

i.e. a product purchased on March 25th worth $20/month would cost $20 in March, then again $20 in April.

the default appears to be an invoice on the 25th of each month.

Hi Guys

I am trying to setup billing for ADSL customers through WHMCS.

From a provisioning point of view this is fairly easy with a module for provisioning RADIUS accounts and can get this developed fairly easily. The complicated thing is billing for these accounts automatically.

What I need when a customer places an order, is for whmcs to create an invoice for the customer to pay which the monthly fee for the next 2 whole months, so for example if customer orders on 14th March it will generate an invoice which has rental for April and May which customer must pay on order.

I then need WHMCS to automatically generate invoices monthly, so on 1st May it should generate an invoice showing June rental.

So I have 30 customers signed up for this custom product. I want to do a database query to pull the Product custom fields from these 30 products. If you could help that would be fantastic, I really need this. Any help would be much appreciated or if someone could point me in the right direction.

Headers for Report would be;

Customer Name Product Name Product Custom Field1.......Product Custom Field10

I do know you would need to use tblhosting to get the packageID.

The packageID is the id under tblproducts and the relid for tblcustomfields.

You would need a rather complex query to perform what you are doing.

Also, you might look into using the API to get this information as well:

http://docs.whmcs.com/API:Get_Clients_Products

This would pull the custom fields values for the products based on the product ID(pid) and return it in an array.

"templates_c" does not delete.

on hosting (cpanel example) product page in whmcs we can find out disk space and data transfer usage of certain hositng account.

WHMCS running cronjob. my question is in which file to edit and what to add so an special email template is sent to user notiffying him that his quota is going to be exhaused soon.?

Applying promo code to customer doesn't work

I am trying to apply an $8.50 discount to a customer using a promo code.

On the client's profile, under Products/Services, I selected the promo code under the menu labeled "Promotion Code (Change will not affect price)".

It truly did not affect the price! Price stayed $10. Why does it do that?

Anyway I checked "Auto Recalculate on Save" box under Recurring Amount. However, the recurring amount changes from $10 to $0, instead of to $1.50 as expected.

What am I doing wrong? How do I apply a promo code to a customer?

Livechat Addon Problems

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased the livechat addon and am having some issues.

1. I have put {$livehelpjs} and {$livehelp} inside of the header.tpl of my theme in their respective spots. However when I go to my installation and click the live help button nothing happens?

2. I have put the tracking code on my main pages however it only seems to work and track visitors on the index.php page. The code is exactly the same on all pages and I have it directly after the opening <head> tag. Its strange it only works on the one page.


Any help on these issues would be great,

Cron displaying Invoicing Loop Service ID

Hi

I havent noticed it before and it doesn't appear in another install by a friend, when the auto cron runs I have been getting Invoicing Loop Service ID 48 - 1- 6 etc

What is the Invoicing Loop Service?
